Hubspot vs. Infusionsoft: Which Marketing Software is Right for Your Business?
Automated marketing software is used so businesses can accomplish repetitive tasks and analyze data easily. There are many automated marketing platforms available to Hong Kong businesses. But which one to choose?
There are two platforms that you should consider: HubSpot and Infusionsoft. Although both platforms have their strengths, it’s important to figure out which one suits your needs. There are a couple of things to consider.
Infusionsoft was established in 2004 and has around 12 000 clients. They have received a US$54 million investment from Goldman Sachs which is one of the leading multinational investment banking firms.
HubSpot was founded in 2006. They have 8 000 clients and 400 employees. Altimeter Capital and Cross Creek Capital transferred US$34 million in funds.
Infusionsoft has a slight advantage over Hubspot in terms of experience. They are also the platform most of the companies decide to go with. Although Infusionsoft has a 2-year head start, Hubspot is quickly growing. Thanks to funding, HubSpot is predicted to be in pre-IPO territory.
HubSpot and Infusionsoft have similar goals for Hong Kong businesses. They promise to draw in more website visitors, convert those visitors into prospects, turn those prospects into revenue. But although their offerings sound the same, they have different platform functionality that allows them to reach these goals.
Content Management System
HubSpot offers a Content Management System (CMS) which lets you build a potential foundation. It has advanced features that simplify workflow. This is great for Hong Kong business owners who aren’t good with technology. It also has great features and analytical tools for search engine optimization.
On the other hand, Infusionsoft does not have complete CMS functionality. Instead, you need to integrate your current CMS to Infusionsoft. So if you have a website on WordPress for example, Infusionsoft would plug in your site. This is a convenient way to attract visitors to your site.
Call to Action
Calls to action are important for converting visitors into prospects. HubSpot lets you create graphical call to action buttons and landing pages using their tools.
You can make landing pages on web forms with Infusionsoft. But you will need to make your call to action graphics with external software and then place them on your website.
Both Infusionsoft and HubSpot have great email functionality. Infusionsoft has a user friendly graphical interface. It’s helpful for people who are good with visual presentation.
Both platforms have lead scoring which lets you keep track of your sales process much easier. InfusionSoft has an interface while Hubspot focuses on a numeric lead grading system.
Both platforms have good analytic capabilities. But since Infusionsoft is focused on the eCommerce sector, there are additional features catering to online shopping that can not be found in HubSpot.
Sales Channel Structure
HubSpot and Infusionsoft both sell directly to end users. HubSpot does this with an established Value Added Reseller. They work with a network of consultants, agencies and third-party providers.
Infusionsoft sells through Certified Consultants, Referral Partners and third party providers.
Both of them generate revenue directly from support services.
HubSpot has better integration with applications. They have more than 150 applications available. The applications have different functions for core areas like SEO, social media, mobile and more. Hong Kong businesses can also use the Application Programming Interface which lets you design your own program within HubSpot.
Infusionsoft only has 80 applications. The applications cover important aspects like accounting, business management, analytics and more. They don’t have as much customization as HubSpot yet but they are currently working on a Developer Network so that end users can create custom integrations.
Price, Training and Technical Support
Both HubSpot and Infusionsoft are offered in three versions. These versions have different costs and in-depth functionality. The total cost of ownership depends on which package you pick.
The training also varies depending on which version you choose. The less expensive versions offer basic training. But if Hong Kong business owners prefer a more in-depth training, the more expensive versions provide a more thorough experience.
They also have technical support that will assist you even after the training. Infusionsoft generally has better customer support waiting times (around 6 minutes). Hubsoft has an average of 10 minutes.
So what software is better? It all depends on your business priorities. Hong Kong businesses have different needs. So it’s important to consider the different features, price and structure of HubSpot and Infusionsoft. Both of them are good platforms that are still growing and they will continually develop and improve their features in the future that will help your business.
